The Second Line Continues

I heard this essay on NPR today. It's about life in New Orleans post-Katrina, and how all of the residents keep telling themselves, and each other, that everything will be better in January.

I'm so glad you posted this link. My honey and I just had a conversation about January and how much people seem to be riding on this Januarry fantasy that it is the magic month were everything will suddenly become better. We even played into the fantasy a bit, which is easier because we're in NY.

I follow this blog faithfully--I'm glad you are both keeping it up. Stay well.

I've been enjoying yours, too. Thanks for visiting. (I just found out I'm pregnant, and I've been preoccupied, so that is why I'm blogging slower. My sister is still at it full force, though!)
